Your Router is a separate device in most cases, and it is connected to your Modem via an ethernet cable. Your Router takes your internet service and transmits it wirelessly through the air in and around your home. Nevertheless, your wireless internet service is identifiable by the name you assign it. In addition you can secure your wireless internet with a password. This is your wireless access point (the point where you connect to your wireless internet)

I called Tony at about 9am on a Friday to install 2 TV mounts. One on a brick wall and another on a complex mantle mount system above the fireplace. By 1:30pm the same day, he had installed both for a fair price. Do not miss this guy, he is the real deal.
